Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection; click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart; please contact us as soon as possible and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received; this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order (and hence a contract between us) when we send you an order acknowledgement. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing; such as inadvertently under-pricing goods or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price; we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.


Shipping And Handling

The shipping cost is based on the larger figure of dimensional weight or the actual weight of the consignment.


Delivery Schedule

Stock items are usually despatched within 1 working day. Made to order items are usually despatched in around 7 working days (depending on the time of year). Interior trim kits can take up to 4 weeks to manufacture and despatch; depending on the time of year. In all cases; the customer will receive an order acknowledgement with the expected lead time for that particular item(s).

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.


Tax Charges

Exports to the EU: No tariffs will be due on the import (our products are manufactured and shipped from the UK). However VAT will be due on the import and will be at your local rate (we supply the goods VAT-free). Collection of VAT will be handled by the courier.

For exports outside of the EU: Import tariffs and local sales tax may be charged at the border of import (we supply the goods free of sales tax). The courier will handle the collection of applicable charges for you. Each country applies different import rules and it's best to check your local customs-authority website for more information.


Credit Card Security

When an order is placed on our website: credit card numbers are encrypted. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

We understand that you are trusting us with your purchase and we thank you for that. For our part; we intend to ensure you are completely satisfied with the products and services we supply. International customers will receive the same warranties and service and please be assured; we make every effort to ensure that your purchasing experience with us will be easy and trouble-free. The world is a very small place today and deliveries to most international destinations are as quick and easy as local ones.

All of our products are continually tried and tested. We employ the latest technology in our production and it would be very rare if our products were too big or too small for the intended application. Claims for poor fit are almost always installation issues. If you have a problem; we ask that you don't automatically assume the product is at fault. We sell and fit 1000's and we see and know most of the installation problems. If you have a installation problem; we are only to happy to help. Digital photographs can be e-mailed to us to help us assist you.

Standard Cabrio Shield®
12 Month Warranty against manufacturing defects (See next section for Premium Cabrio Shield®)

The Standard Cabrio Shield® is designed for frequent on/off use to protect your soft top when your car is not in use. It is not recommended to leave the Standard Cabrio Shield® fitted to the car for long periods of time because condensation can form under the Cabrio Shield® and may cause associated problems; such as mildew build up. The material cannot be warranted for colour-fading due to varying usage and conditions.

The Cabrio Shield® should never be folded or stored when it is damp or saturated; as this can cause the material to degrade and in some cases shrink.

All our products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Damage resulting from incorrect installation, car manufacturers design problems, normal wear and tear, incorrect cleaning materials, improper cleaning methods or atmospheric conditions is the responsibility of the buyer.

We recognize that occasionally extraordinary situations arise. This warranty / return policy is extended to cover the majority of transactions. Special situations will be handled on an individual basis.

Warranty for our products is one year from date of purchase.

Warranty claims and refunds are pro-rated from the purchase date; based on the estimated normal product service life.

Our liability for breach of the above warranty is limited to refunding the purchase price of the goods; or at our discretion to replacement upon its return. Under no circumstances shall we be responsible for any other form of consequential damage; including installation costs, removal costs, damage to associated products, vehicle hire costs or loss of profit arising out of the use or inability to use the products supplied.

No claim for any breach of warranty herein shall be valid unless delivered in writing to the company within the warranty period.

Buyer submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of English Law and English courts.
Premium Cabrio Shield®

5 Year Limited Warranty on Cabriotex® CSS Fabric - 12 Month Warranty against manufacturing defects

The Premium Cabrio Shield® is made from Cabriotex® CSS fabric; which is designed for use in extreme climatic-conditions. The fabric comes with a 5 year warranty against colour and strength loss under normal usage and conditions; including exposure to sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, folding or storage of the material when wet, damage from improper use or damage from improper cleaning products.

All our products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Damage resulting from incorrect installation, car manufacturers design problems, normal wear and tear, incorrect cleaning materials and improper cleaning methods are the responsibility of the buyer.

Returns Policy - 14 Day Money Back Guarantee
We offer a 14 day money back guarantee should you not be entirely happy with your purchase. (Excludes shipping costs).

No item may be returned without prior authorisation. Please notify us of your intent to return an item and also state the reasons for return. We can then take steps to fast-track the item once received.

All items should be examined immediately upon receipt for defects. Only items that are unused, unmarked and in re-sellable condition can be returned. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is being returned due to defect.

Return items must be re-packed in its original container and plastic windows free of scratches.

What Information Do We Collect and Why?

Website Orders

When a customer completes the ordering process provided by our website; the customer's name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, ip address, company name (if applicable), device details, how they heard about us and the product details pertaining to the order are captured by RomanCart Ltd. RomanCart is a secure, online shopping cart system that is linked to our website and hosts details of the products we sell on the website. Their service facilitates the order fulfilment process and the order information that is collected from the customer is available for us to view in our dedicated, secure user area on the RomanCart platform.

RomanCart consider themselves custodians of our customer order information on behalf of us and as such; they do not pass the data to anyone else unless required to by law.

Once an order has been placed; we (Prestige Autotrim) use the order information to internally process, fulfil and despatch the order. Necessary customer details are shared with a third party delivery service (such as DHL) solely for the purposes of delivering the customer's order and to send tracking details to the customer by email. Any third party delivery services we use do not share this customer information with anyone else.

Prestige Autotrim and RomanCart Ltd do not come into contact with credit card details when an order is placed on the website. We use PCI compliant third party payment providers for this purpose (such as PayPal).

Cookies are used to enable the persistance of a shopping cart throughout the buying process. This is to make sure that when a customer adds an item to the cart and then goes back to look at more items; the cart still contains their already added items when they return to it. Cookies are also used for the purpose of anonymous data collection of user behaviour when navigating the website. An example being using Google Analytics to collect data relating to website performance for the purpose of reviewing that data internally.

Customer order details are securely stored; as per our PCI compliance obligations for the period required by law.

Customers' will only be contacted by the telephone number or email address provided by them and only for reasons pertaining to their order.

When a customer places an order with us by telephone; the customer's name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, company name (if applicable), credit card details, how they heard about us and the product details pertaining to the order are collected. This data is collected to allow us to internally process, fulfil and despatch the order. Necessary customer details are shared with a third party delivery service (such as DHL) solely for the purposes of delivering the customer's order and to send tracking details to the customer by email. Any third party delivery services we use do not share this customer information with anyone else.

Credit card details are used to manually charge a customer for their order. We use PCI compliant third party payment providers for manual charging (such as PayPal).

Data Security

Customer order information collected through our website by RomanCart shopping cart software is held on secure systems in physically secure environments; with multiple levels of security required to access any of their equipment at all locations. They use standard industry practices on information security management at both hardware and software levels to secure the data they hold. Access to data on their servers is limited to select RomanCart staff members that are bound by confidentiality agreements.

Customer information that we collect from an order placed through our website; by telephone; by email or through our eBay shop for the purpose of internal order processing is securely stored on a dedicated server and in a secure physical location; as per our PCI and legal requirements. The information can only be accessed by select members of staff for the purposes of order fulfilment and despatch.

Control Over and Access to Personal Data

Personal data collected by RomanCart as part of the website order process can be deleted from their systems by requesting us to do so. However your order data held by us is securely held on a dedicated server and in a secure physical location for the time period stated by current law.

Marketing

Prestige Autotrim and RomanCart Ltd do not use customer order details for direct marketing campaigns and we do not sell or distribute customer order details to third parties for direct marketing campaigns.
